Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) made permanent the SEA Visitor Pass program, which gives non-ticketed guests access to the secure side of the airport.
Those who get a gate pass can also have extra time with family and friends before they board a plane. Or be there with a big hug to meet a loved one when they get off a flight.
The permanent SEA Visitor Pass program will welcome up to 100 visitors a day, seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., though guests may stay in the airport until 10 p.m.
Those seeking passes will be able to apply for entry up to seven days in advance. TSA will review gate pass applications and those who are approved for entry will get a QRcode to present, with a TSA-approved ID, for entry through the security checkpoint.
