Those who fly frequently will be aware that there are certain items that are not allowed in the flight.  This restriction is done for the safety purpose of the passengers. Special Items:

• Audio & Visual Equipment: Travelers are allowed to bring such items at a special rate after getting the generous bag allowance.
• Human Remains: Cremated remains are allowed in the carry-on bag.
• Child Restraint Devices: You need to ask at the ticket counter before your flight.
• Music Instruments: Small musical instruments are allowed in carry-on baggage as long as it fits in the overhead bin or under the seat.

 

Sports Equipment: Taking any sports equipment is subject to the airplane size and available cargo space. For any sports equipment, maximum allowed size and weight is 320 cm (l+b+h) and 32 kg respectively.

If you have any sporting item that is not mentioned specifically will be charged standard checked bag fees up to 23 kg and 320 cm (oversize fee don’t apply). For equipment other than approved item, you will be charged as a standard checked bag, and additional oversize and overweight charges may apply to it.

• Bicycle: 1 non-motorized bicycle is allowed with standard checked bag fees for up to 23 kg and 320 cm or fee of around $150 applies for 23 kg to 32 kg.
• Bowling: A bag of a maximum of 3 bowling balls and shoes is allowed as a carry-on if the bag will fit under the seat. Standard checked bag fee applies up to 23 kg and 320 cm and a standard overweight fee applies 23 kg to 32 kg.
• Camping Equipment: It is counted as a separate checked bag. Standard checked bag fee applies up to 23 kg and 320 cm and a standard overweight fee applies 23 kg to 32 kg.
• Windsurf: 2 windsurf equipment is counted as 1 checked item and fee around $150 is applied for every 2 pieces.
• Shooting Equipment: 1 case is allowed with standard checked fee depending on the destination for 23 kg and 320 cm and a standard overweight fee applies for 23 kg to 32 kg.
• Gold Club: 1 golf bag is allowed with the standard checked fee depending on the destination for 23 kg and 320 cm and $150 for 23 kg to 32 kg.

 

These are the items restricted by the airlines for the safety of passengers and crew members alike. In general, some of the basic restrictions are; any type of liquid weighing more than 3.4 ounces is not allowed in a carry-on, items like knives should be checked; fireworks and sprays are strictly prohibited in the airplane.
